Synchronies of Wisdom

The Synchronies of Wisdom project emerges as an effort to collect and share the wisdom that each person we encounter can offer us. It is based on the ideas of figures who thought deeply about education, spirituality, and human connections: Paulo Freire, Chico Xavier, and Cristian Dambrós. Each of them brings a unique perspective on how we relate to the world and to the people around us, and their ideas form the foundation of this project.

The Foundation of the Project

Brazilian educator Paulo Freire believed that true learning happens in relationship with others, in listening and dialogue. For him, teaching is not about transferring knowledge but creating conditions for others to build their own understanding. Freire said that education is an act of love and courage, where both teacher and student grow together and humanize each other. He argued that there is no “more knowing” or “less knowing,” only different kinds of knowledge that, when shared, bring us closer as human beings. This vision underpins the project, as we want to make room for each person’s voice, understanding that every piece of advice, every perspective, is a valuable part of knowledge.

Chico Xavier, in turn, was a Brazilian medium and philanthropist known for his ideas about spirituality and his practice of spreading kindness. One of his beliefs was that “nobody crosses our path by chance, and we do not enter anyone’s life without a reason.” This idea, that there is a purpose in each encounter and something to learn and share with every person, is a direct inspiration for Synchronies of Wisdom. Chico’s vision of human encounters aligns with the essence of the project: every piece of life advice we collect is the result of a “cosmic synchronicity,” a meaningful encounter, and represents a fragment of wisdom that came to us for a special reason.

Cristian Dambrós complements this vision by asserting that everything that happens in our lives is part of a “Greater Plan.” For him, coincidences do not exist, and what we call chance is actually a manifestation of “Cosmic Synchronicity,” a perfection that, although we may not fully comprehend, guides us to cross paths and learn valuable lessons. This idea of a divine flow, that life has a current leading us to what we need to experience, resonates deeply with the purpose of the project.

The Name and Purpose of the Project

The name Synchronies of Wisdom reflects the belief that the wisdom we receive from others is not random, but the result of a synchronicity—a cosmic alignment that places the right people in our path at the right time. By collecting 107 pieces of life advice, we aim to create a record of these synchronicities, a kind of chain of generosity where one person’s learning can be the encouragement another needs to move forward.

The purpose is simple yet powerful: by sharing these pieces of advice, we seek to spread kindness and understanding, providing a resource of practical and inspiring wisdom for those who come across it. May each piece of advice be a small spark of light, something that can touch and strengthen whoever reads it, even if only briefly. At the same time, the project honors the importance of human connections and the exchange of knowledge within a true community of life.

Why I’m Doing This

I believe that every person we meet has something unique to teach us. By gathering this advice, I want to honor each person and the impact they’ve had on me, while also spreading this generosity and wisdom to the world. May this project be an act of love and a space where each contribution lights the path for those who need it.
